Summer Camp doing Table-Top Roleplaying Games

Does your teen love creativity and roleplaying games

Are you looking for ways to fill their days this summer that aren’t in front of a screen?

Could your child benefit from discovering new ways to express themselves using their natural strengths and creativity?

This summer Replenish Counseling will be hosting our first Role-Playing summer camp. This is an adventure we have dreamed of doing for years and are extremely excited to add it to our summer offerings!

We hope to fill your child’s creative cup with interventions that both stimulate their creativity, but also serve as an outlet to build self-esteem, self-expression, and self-confidence. This camp will engage teens in quests that deepen their own self-exploration, encourage healthy decision making, enhance communication skills with peers, navigate disagreements, practice vulnerability and actively practice coping skill techniques in order to advance storyline.

This camp will be lead by Therapists with experience playing and leading Table-Top Roleplaying Games personally and therapeutically.

Dungeons and Dragons, DND, RPG, role-playing, board games, role playing games therapy

This camp will take place the week of  July 8th – 12th

Role Playing Game Camp

Supportive Brentwood, TN Group therapy

What is role playing?

Dungeons and Dragons, DND, RPG, role-playing, board games, role playing games therapy

Story telling is one of the most powerful ways to help any individual– adult, child, or teenager – understand new concepts and more importantly, begin to integrate though concepts into opportunities for self-exploration and growth.

Our therapists create a story line that each of our participants get to actively participate in where that storyline goes. This participation is what is called role playing.

For some, role playing is coming up with ideas, asking questions, and making decisions about the direction they would like the storyline to take.

It DOES NOT mean the person has to use a different voice, use acting techniques, or even wear costumes although that is welcomed and supported if a participant chooses to participate this way.
